Reading Assignment #2

Marinetti//

Marinetti's design philosophy/view was "away with the old and bringing in the new". He was heavily inspired by the industrialised world and wanted to do away with the traditional means of creating.

McKnight Kauffer//

Kauffer was heavily inspired by the Futurists avant-garde abstract artists in Britain, and possibly japanese woodblock prints. He apparently was very good at telling the client what they really need vs what they want.

El Lissitsky//

He was influenced and was a part of the Suprematists group in Russia. However, he later took on the hat of the Constructivists (who used practical design to aid/further Russia's new communist state).
He loves grids, limited colour palettes, and pure geometric forms.
